    Default Type 1 CDC Feathers

    Hey Folks,

I was watching Hans W's video stream on tying the CDC & Elk. Afterwards, I went downstairs and tied up a few, but the package for my CDC feathers doesn't give a Type designation.

    My questions are:
What is a Type 1 CDC feather?
How do you know what you have if it doesn't say?

    Thanks.

Hans Weilenmann, wrote an article for another website, regarding the different types of CDC. The article covers just about everything you have questions about.
