well i got ahold of doaks and they couldnt help me. i was very surprised with that, seemeing as they seem to have everything in there shop that has to do with fly fishing.

i checked out the entomology section, very helpful but i want something that is more local even though it seems to be centered around east coast flys. I may head to the natural resourse center today and see what i can find out.

    Okay, on "the hatch."
Does anyone have a reference on streamside flowers and "the hatch." On Penns Creek in central PA, it is said that one should look for the green drakes at the first blooming of the peony. Anyone else?

I don't have a hatch chart but here are some great entomolgy websites that will help you identify the aquatic insects in your area. Hope this helps.

Here's an FAOL book review about the Miramichi:

I think there's a couple of books on ff'ing your area, possibly one by Paul Marriner. Try searching Amazon.

Many of the same insects hatch in rivers all over the world. The main difference is timing and quantities. A general flyfishing/hatch book will be very helpful. I use one that covers the whole western U.S. then try to match up what I see for fine tuning.
