With the exception of JC I turned OFF everyones view email option in your profile.

This prevents non admins from seeing your ***VALID*** email address. (it IS valid, right?)

If you want to get ahold of someone USE PRIVATE MESSAGING....

By viewing a user's profile you will see a PM button on the left side of their profile.
This sends them a private message ON OUR SYSTEM.

If that user also checked the notify me on new PM (in their profile) they will also get an email notification. Otherwise they will be notified of new messages the next time they use the BB and log in.

This is just one step we can take to help protect your privacy.

I was just looking at the POST: THINGS FOR SALE.
I would like to know where the phrase; AUTO PRUNED originated from.
I have lived in the U.S. my whole life and have never heard it before.
    Is it computer slang?
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Default Auto Pruned

    As in Automatically Pruned.
Pruned : In gardening, pruning is the practice of removing diseased, overmature, or otherwise unwanted portions from a woody plant. Pinching back herbaceous plants, such as chrysanthemums to encourage denser growth or more profuse or delayed flowering, is a form of pruning. So, on an even smaller scale, is the garden practice of "deadheading", or removing spent flowers before they begin to set seed, in order to concentrate a plant's energy on continued flower production. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pruning)

In our case the BB removes all old "dead" topics at an age of 1 month for the For Sale and Things Wanted Forums.

    Ron,
Thank you for giving me the definition of PRUNING.
Was Auto Pruned originated at this site?
    Thanks,
    Doug

Not sure WHO coined it first.

Please tell me this is only temporary...

The little icon next to the topic..."View latest post"...worked beautifully and was about as handy as anything....but with this change it no longer takes me to the latest post ...just to the top of the last page...?????
