I put a pair of the AquaStealth soles on some old wading shoes, and the only time I missed the felt soles was when wading on really slick, snotty rocks. Many of the streams I fish have rocky steep banks, and the AquaStealth soles almost never slipped, while felt was downright dangerous on these dry rocky areas. I now wear Korkers with studded felt soles, but find the studs tend to trip me up at times, and are really only useful to me when on really slick rocks. Of course, part of the problem may be due to aging and decreasing sense of balance.
From the description of the waters you usually fish, I don't think you can go wrong with the AquaStealth.
