New rod - first fish!
Today is opening day where I live and I took my new 4 wt. rod and reel for a spin.
Fifteen minutes into the day, a six inch brookie rose to my offering. I set the hook, and landed the little guy.
New rod - first hit - first fish. Man, you gotta love it.
Good for you...feels great don't it?
Did you also tie the fly? I hope so, thats the only way it gets any better!
