Just in case anyone is interested and likes to "play around with fly patterns, I have taken the FOTW (Reversed Spider) and tied it on a Mustad #94840 #10 dry fly hook, dark medium olive chenille for the body, pheasant tail herls for the tail and golden brown hen back for the collar and the trout here seem to like it. They like it well enough that it will be another "go to" fly in my fly box. Now I am putting 4 wraps of #25 lead wire weight up front about where the double wraps of the chenille, in the original pattern, were and just putting one layer of chenille on. Tried that idea today and it worked real well also. Give it a try and see how it works for your trout. Great pattern and sure glad it was submitted here on FAOL!
