I've sent my 10 year old Orvis Silver Label in twice to have broken tips repaired and all it cost each time was my shipping cost (no return shipping costs). Granted it is not a "lifetime" warranty but if I don't have a new rod in 25 years, someone should check my head!! As was previously stated, you can get a decent rod for the $75. I wouldn't want to deal with a company that a "full" warranty still costs you $75.
