When I was a kid, I caught my first big LMB in a farm pond at twilight. I was fishing a yellow Flatfish with red spots on it. I stuck this big fish on a stringer and stuck the spike in the mud. Once it was too dark to fish, I checked and the stringer was gone. There were a lot of Snappers in that pond and I always guessed that one of those killer turtles got my fish that night.

So I found a wonderful illustration of a similar event and wanted to share it here. There is a screensaver offered for download an American boot company (they don't really make fishing gear at all). They make arguably the best dang cowboy boots and I wear them. If you have a way to print this image out-it is a high rez image that is already sized at 8.5 X 11 inches. I think the illustrator for this company is really tops! Look in their gallery for more of these.
