Hi Folks,

Another great issue of the weekly FAOL articles today, a full day early.
Hope no one got confused and went to work.*G*

First thing I noticed were Jim and Deannas weekly columns. It was
easy to feel their excitement and anticipation of two great weeks of
vacation starting today. I wish them well and hope it far exceeds
expectations. They have been working darned hard for a while now
and certainly deserve a break.*G* First a week with Chris up in the
real North country. I think one of Chris's famous shore lunches would
make that trip memorable, not even mentioning the monster fish and
beautiful country.*G* Then another week at the Michigan fish in. Wow!
Over 100 Faolers anticipated and a lot of work already in place by Jack
Hise and crew to ensure it's success. Sure to have tongues wagging for
some time to come.*G*

Ron Eagle Elks review of the Drosdak System leaders was certainly an
eye opener. Refreshingly honest and to the point! And if you scan just
a couple of reviews down, Buttermilks (Andy Carr) review of the Elkhorn
Classic Fly Reel and the Elkhorn "Big Thompson" cane are made of that
feel good warmth that that I never tire of reading.*G*

It was a Good Day by Neil Travis was another great article. Love his
style, and you'll find a bit of insight on our own Mr. Castwell included.*G*
The Durango Kid guest column adds even more insight into the mysterious
Castwell personna.*G* Be sure to read it.

Rick Z is still catching copious quantities of warmwater fish but his
forgetfullness added somewhat to the challenge this week. But he still
turns in a trip most of us would love to experience. Gotta get an invite
to fish with that gent one of these days.*G*

And leave it to our friend Jamie to get me salivating over his ribs and
taters.*G*

It was a great way to spend an otherwise uneventful Sunday morning.
Thanks Jim and Deanna. Have a great trip. Warm regards, Jim
