Oh God, be careful. I was at the little section that Royal Carribean owns, and the Haitian flea market owners there are pretty aggressive.

How lucky some girl will be. All my girlfriends have hated when I go fishing. And I think the first fish is a cuttbow.
If you've never kayaked before and you're unfamiliar with the Snake (the South Fork I'm assuming) definitly don't try to learn there. There are many spots on that river where one could easily sink a...
Of anything I have fished the Letort is definitely the hardest, followed by Penns Creek and the Upper Allegheny. Western Rivers are nothing compared to Eastern rivers for toughness, and yes I've...
should have cast that dude out there, it isn't live bait fishing b/c the fish would have eaten the tan caddis, right.
I posted the original topic that Bamboozle alluded to, and after a lot of experimentation I found that the simplest and most effective pattern is just a size 12 hook with a a black dubbed body and...
I've never really thought that this was much of an issue, but I guess it could be to some folks. First of all, these guys are just putting on a show and Iif they didn't you wouldn;t be watching...
I started with the Randall Kaufman kit from Cabelas. The stuff was very good and it taught me the basics very well. I still use that vise because it holds a hook very well and I like the simplicity.
Any of you PA guys fished the delayed harvest section of Oil Creek yet? I'd usually have been up a few times by now but a couple streams close to home are still producing.
Yesterday my pack got flipped over and I had to fish my scissors, floatant (Ironically the bottle sinks like a rock), forceps, and about 2 dozen streamers out of the cold stream with my net. Talk...
I'll back up that gratitude. As a 17-year old getting ready for college, I can't imagine the courage it took to make that sacrifice. Thanks for keeping our country free.

I guess I have a short attention span too. When I'm fishing, I'm always looking for a good place to hunt. When I'm freezing in the deer stand I'm thinking of casting over rising trout. When I'm in...
That's a tough one
There's a lot of informative ones on here but I like the ones that really stir the pot. I've only been on here about 2 months and my favorite ones have been the boycott cabelas,...
I'm thinking of camping sometime over Memorial Day or the 4th of July either On the E Branch, W Branch, or the Beaverkill River. Which one of the three or any others nearby do you all reccomend. ...
Cabelas is wonderful. I've never had a problem with them. I've returned stuff without a receipt, past warranty, and they've never given me a problem. Their stuff is great most of the time, and if...
Best:
1)Yellow Perch
2)Walleye
3)Bluegill/Sunfish
4)Small Channel Cats
5)Small Crappie
Worst (that I've eaten)
1)Bass
2)Trout
I'd say I do 75% spinfishing, 25% baitcasting, and 25% fly fishing. I like fly-fishing the best but there aren't a whole lot of fly fishing oppurtunities close to my house once the stocked trout are...
To go along with my question about putting your reel in the water, what do you think the benifits of an expensive reel are. I rarely play a fish with a reel and I think I would just be more...
Sometimes when I land a fish, or tie on a new fly I just set my reel down in the water. Does this hurt it in anyway. I usually clean it after a use anyway so I don't think it hurts it too bad. By...
I generally use a leader the length of the depth I'm fishing, then just look at the end of the line as a strike indicator. If it's too deep or fast to do that, I just tie on a couple strands of yarn.
I know many of you on here don't even like fishing shots, but here in PA it's the only way to get the fly down in the watercolumn this time of year. I realize that a standard fly cast doesn't work,...
John,
Usually, when a company like Sage has a hard time breaking even, its not because they don't charge enough for their product or the materials cost too much. It's usually because they need to...
I like to incorporate red into all of my streamers. Red eyes are great for streamers--they imitate baitfish, and young smallmouth and rock bass.
I'm from Western PA also. I generally use spinning outfits and rooster tails early in the season, but I think I'll go with flies this year. I fish stocked rainbows in Thorn, Buffalo,...
I got to thinkin and there's a lot of lightning bugs flying aroung here in Pennsylvanina during the summer. They have to fall in the water once in a while, cause they rest on grass and trees during...
