I hear that the Loomis GLX Distance rod is a bit fragile. Do any members have experience? Just how good are they? I'm looking at a 10" 3 piece. Also any experience of Loomis guarantees is welcome.

You use boobies? We use them loads in UK for rainbows, even stripping them along the surface, we fish them with nymphs below or a team of boobies, 2 or 3 on the cast, cast about 22-24 foot long....

Could the Ultimate just have been made for the UK market where we fish with bigger rods, or maybe the name was changed for UK.
