Printing out warnings and such for superglue? Guess I am just a risk taker.
I believe I read somewhere that it is harder or more expensive to produce barbless hooks ie the higher price for them.
I believe that a de-barbed or barbless hook also aids in more hook ups. Less resistance going in or out.

Superglue (cyanoacrylate) - dries hard non flexible and is waterproof
Zap a gap - dries by UV is flexible waterproof and a better choice IMHO for use on a line that's whole job is to transfer...
