:) This is something I have just discovered that is to say their obvious appreciation for their customers..........quality absolute....My buddy fishes with an AVID 6' 3 wieght for atlantic salmon...
:D .......I'd just like to thank St. Croix.......I had a fly reel that never really worked from the get go.....So I emailed this company and without hesitation my concerns with the reel were looked...
I just usually throw some mossy vegatation in the creel.
Works really well, moss really retains moisture well.

Actually when I spin, djam, I always cover the base of the shank with thread, not too much, but a little. I find I have better control and the spinning doesn't get away from me.

Yeah I caught it at Witless bay, she is a searun brown, but looks like she has been in the fresh for awhile, she was starting to blacken.

Yeah, It's tough business, and before I got the Bronze Mallard from Ron Lucas, I never had much success with it at all.
Not all wings pictured in those posts are perfect, but they are acceptable....
I would certainly fish 'em if I get the chance, only on some of the larger rivers though.
The river I fish locally is too small I think for such big flies, they only like 'em usually in a size 8, 10...
