I don't recall Thomas and Thomas ever marketing a rod called SLT. Their lineup in the 90s consisted of Horizons in three varieties, the LPS, and Paradigms. I have many, many T&T rods and have used...
Scott,
The closest two shops I have are 45 and 65 miles away and they have a very limited selection. I have been buying and selling on-line almost as long as one could buy and sell on-line. I...

I split my summer months between visiting friends on Martha's Vinyard(4 hour drive) and the Bitterroot...
Scott,
I can see where fit would be important for a 50-60 pound long hike or multi day pack, but this is a day pack.
It has got no side pocket for a water bottle or to secure your rod tube. I bought my SAGE for less than the price of the Aqua-Quest at Amazon. What kind of prices you finding on the SAGE?
I bought that same pack for the very same reason. It is better constructed than most packs I have owned(or bought and shipped back to Bean , Orvis etc). As for packing waders? Certainly not boot...
Good luck finding or gaining access to Charles Schwab or Ted Turner to talk to.
Joe,
Here's a Steffen glass that I had Lanny build for me many years ago. It is my most used fly rod by far.

Lanny,
I have known you for years and never knew of this preference of yours. Interesting. I am a stream guy through and through. I feel imprisoned on boats of any type. Bought a kayak and...
If the fish and water resources are managed with funds that are acquired through the State by taxation or fee collection from the public, then the public should have access to those resources. The...
Yes, I have a new Clear Creek green 42 inch tube. PM me if interested. Rich
Guys, remember I fish with glass and the overwhelming majority of us that fish glass view the Grand as a whole line weight heavier. I have fished the Grand and the GPX a lot when I owned mostly fast...
The Grand is really a 7WF so your choice would depend upon the rod that you intend to use it on. I have fished both lines and really didn't care for either one of them, I am more of a GPX fan.
I have owned all four of those rods and generally agree with the author. The Scott G series, especially the 8ft 4wt and the 8'5" 5wt have yet to be "replaced". I do agree with the previous post...
You are paying for the meticulous labor, not the "effectiveness" of the tool. I have been part of the on-line fiberglass community since Clark Davis first started a "glass forum" a couple decades...
I have a new in the box reel on tube for a 9ft 4 piece rod.

Why would anyone want to fish in water so dirty that they have to worry about bacterial infection etc. The only reason I put on waders is because the water is cold enough to move my testicles to my...
I like rose, although amber is fine. Yellow is too light for the brightness of the sun, and the traditional grey or blue lens that the off shore guys use to protect their eyes is not ideal for sight...
I would say that it would depend on the type of fishing you are doing. My only boat fishing is on the flats for tarpon or bones. There I prefer an 8'6" RPLXi or a Scott 8'8" HP rod as they load...
Jim,
I found casting unpleasant sitting down in the water. I also do not like the sitting position when in a kayak and found it to be very uncomfortable on my lower back. At this point in my...
I am seeking advice on pontoon fishing options. I have owned a tube(hated it) and a Kayak Wilderness Systems Pungo(also hated it), thus I am continuing the product search for being able to get out...
I have two NIB Redington Reel on tubes for 9ft 4 piece rods.

Hello,
