Great bunch of flies!!
Thanks everyone

I tied that fly for the first time this past winter and haven't used it yet. I plan to target smallies in the Crow River next time I get there.
I am printing toe tags, the flies will be in the mail tomorrow.
I'd like to join with my version of Skip's Dad

I use only barbless, or crush barbs. I fish a lot with my grandkids. Barbless makes it easier to release both fish and me!
I have a Lamson Velocity 1.5 and a Marryat CMR 3/4. I like them both very much and would recommend either one. If I had to choose, I would go with the Marryat. I was able to get it for less than...
The first trout that I ever caught was a rainbow on a gurgle-pop!
Nothing else was working, so I was just experimenting.
Accent has nothing to do with it, I can't spell, and can't proof read!!
I have a week available, so Montana and Virginia are a bit far for this trip, but Rick's suggestion sounds like a definate...
My wife's first rod was an SLi. She liked it so much that she bought a kit so I could build one for myself. It is a 4 piece 8 weight. Most of my fishing is with a couple of lighter weight bamboo...
My wife and I need a road trip in Mach to do some flyfishing. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

I can't help you, but I will also be watching this thread. I spend a couple of weeks a year in the Lima area, and am always looking for a place to fish.
I'm planning to be there. It's always a pleasure to see everyone, and everything going on.
By all means keep it going. This was a creative swap idea, I look forward to it's conclusion

The flies are in the mail!
Happy Birthday, Mike
I hit 60 in July - Life just keeps getting better doesn't it!
I read the manual for the first camera completely. For the new one, I have just looked at the new features. The really cool feature that I found with the K110D is the automatic color balance. I...
Nighthawk,
I owned a Pentax iSDs. I was a great camera, until I dropped it 5 feet onto some rocks. I just replaced it with a K110D. I can tell you that the Pentax lens compatability is amazing....
I found some fake Polar Bear Fur in my box that I have had for 30 years. I guess that if I haven't used it by now, I don't know why I bought it!
I'll use it in some sort of a streamer.

Diane,
Please sign me up. I'll have to look thru my "never used stuff" to come up with a plan, but it sounds like fun!

I just returned from fly fishing in Colorado, so I just received the flies from the swap.
It is a great bunch of flies. Thanks everyone, especially ol blue for running another great swap.

A few years ago, I dropped a 180 mm telephoto lens - the lens cap and UV filter took the hit - the lens was fine. All of my lenses have a UV filter from the day of purchase. It's cheap insurance.
Andrew,
I can't tell you that most panfish flies work for trout, but I can tell you that white gurgle pops do. It has been my experience that trout flies often work very well to catch panfish. ...
Andrew,
Go to the Panfish section of this board. There is an archive of Rick Z's articles that will give you a vast amount of information to get started. Good luck, and have fun!

Ol Blue,
No problem, I just wanted to know if I needed to get back to the tying bench and wrap a few more.
Ol Blue,
I shipped my flies on July 27.
Have you not received them?
