I will eat trout but depends on the waters they come from...I know a lot of work goes into some of our local brook trout waters here so I usually just let those guys go...but when I go to Arkansas...
I put mine on at home...just one less thing to do when you get there. I also have my rod all set up. So all I have to do is get out shut the door (with your keys in hand) and fish.

I have had luck with Walleyes using yellow over white and blue over white clousers and I also have had luck using purple leech patterns tied with zonker strips. All where creeks dump into the river....

Yes...luck is a factor.
Even the most experienced fisherman needs some kind of luck...as you stated, sometimes the fish are bitting and sometimes they arn't...even if your throwing the exact match...

What can a person make with black bear fur? I got some from a friend of mine who is a taxidermist. The fur seems to be kind of "oily" to me. Anybody ever used black bear fur?
