And a Very Merry Christmas to one and all as well. Tight lines and see you next year.
A Very Happy New Year to everyone on the board. Hope your 2012 has plenty of fishing adventures and many photo memories of your time on the stream.
Best Wishes,

Beautiful ties. Very nicely done.
A Happy and Healthy New Year to Everyone. Hopefully for me a better year to fish and enjoy the outdoors. The best to you and your families!
Merry Christmas to all the members and your families. Hope you have a peaceful and joyous day!
The figure 8 knot is also a good one. As others have said, the double surgeons has served me very well. I have a devil with the blood knot and have pretty well given up on it, with no ill effects...
2009 really wasn't the best of years for sure, but lets keep the hope for a safe, happy and healthy 2010 for all! Happy New Year!
A very Merry Christmas to all at FAOL. I'm just sitting here enjoying the day with my family, looking at my neat fly tying stuff and pickin a little on my banjo. A perfect day.
Very neat. Thanks for the post.
HMH has a terrific site, and are very customer oriented from what I can see. I do not own a HMH, but I think you are a modest referb away from getting that vise back to 100%. They are tanks and...
I'm not a huge fan but my son is. He and some buddies went on Sun and he said it was a real good version of the Trek adventures. I did see the promos and the new Spock does look like Spock!
Good suggestions above. Also check out MR and Heritage Redfish models. 12-13 ft should do ya and keep the weight manageable.
For all around smallie fishing I like the 7wgt the best. Backbone when you need it but sensitive for smallies species as well. On larger water the 8 would do you well, but if you're going to mix...
Must be. We had a lot of them in the fall growing up in NJ near the Great Swamp.
The line can get blurred so quickly. I look at Rich Osthoff's Woolly Worm and see Frailey's Woolly Fur Bugger. Someone else will go back 40yrs and see something else. Don't know, but I just fish...
Congrats on your new ride and best wishes for you with it. It will open up a lot of water for you to fish and explore.
I'm with Grubb. Think about what you really need and use on your typical trips, and then get a nice fanny pack. You will like how much more comfortable you are on the water, and if you get a nice...
Fish love attractors. You have a real nice tie there, and it should work well. Pls let us know!
I've always had that feeling when test casting as well, but test casting and really spending some time working with the rod would probably make a whole lot of difference. I think I'll go with what...
Hi Jim. Do you have any current brands that might be at the craft shops that have the mix you describe above? What I have found (or I think I have found) is that what might have had antron in it a...
If that's true I'm glad to hear it. I have always been a fan of slow and moderate action rods, and my glass Orvis Fullflex A is still a great rod to fish with.
Or as Ebeneezer Scrooge and the IRS folks like to say "Harvest Time".LOL
Good Thread and thanks for the tip above. I have been struggling with Madam X's and getting things to stay. I have one early tie of the Madam I call the Amityville Horror because the head likes to...
