Clean line always helps but I switched to a Rio clouser line and it works well in temps up to about 98 here.

I fish for Musky often with my flyrod (9wt Scott). Here I like bunny flies, big mouse patterns and bright colored divers. Red and white flies produce the best. I also use tiger wire for a tippet.

I use poppers extensivly and have found that by coating them with Loons Hardead they float much longer and stay high in the water.
