Very good advice.Also remember that tick bites with lyme disease does not always leave a bulleye.GET TESTED.
Recent medical literature indicates that ticks areofter carrying more than Lyme.
Nice story..that touches familar threads in my heart about places that I loved to visit over the years but somehow 'things" have changed(usually people passing or moving)

For whatever it is worth:Flytyer..aka as Phil, has tied a bunch of flies for me over the past few years.He is a very good tyer and I have been very pleased with his flies

IMHO--the flys will catch fish, but look too heavily weighted for the depths you listed in your post.
