Yes indeed! Nice tie!!!
Often here when TVA has dropped the lake levels, you can find many shallow points to fish from. When the sun is on the water, Bluegill and Crappie will often corral up the minnows and small threadfin...
I'm sure you've heard this before but worth saying again; cast them both before deciding! If possible, side by side! Either would be a good stick. What do you fish now? If you have an older Premium...
Prayers offed up For Warren!
Lately I have been digging me some Airflo Ridge Supple Tactical and its successor the Super Dri Elite line on my med-fast Sage rods:lol:
any fly with a lot of built-in action, esp. fly with marabou or rubber legs ie. leeches and girdle bugs. For dries, try twitching a griffeth's gnat or crackle back on still waters
Definitely overline with a Wf6F flyline. What you lose in grace you will gain in power (ease of turning over big flies)
I caught some post Spawn Browns today that appeared healthy but were rather skinny bodied. Typical for fish in East Tenn right after the spawn. Your pictures seem to reflect fish caught in warmer...
Lightly used Sage ACCEL 590 (about 6 or 7 outings). Un-registered warranty card. Would like to trade for a lightly used4pc Sage XP 590. Will sell for $450

I received a much needed Folstaf wading staff. Love the cork grip and nifty holster. Got to try it out this past Saturday and it is very handy indeed!
Not Goofy nor complacent. My scope of fly fishing has narrowed over the years. While I enjoy catching larger fish, I more or less dislike using any rod/reel setups over a stout 6wt. None of my...
Merry Birthday and Happy Christmas to you!
A great system, but it can be done on the cheap with a patch of Sculpin Wool and some craft store micro tubing. I treat my wool and leaders with Payette Paste by Loon Outdoors.
Wapsi "sculpin wool" . Comes in packs with the wool still on hide. I used the same method with out any tools as oldster above does. I grease my leaders and wool yarn with Loon product: Payette Paste....
For me, it is easier to overcome the lightness of a reel to keep the rod up during the drift, than it is to cast all day with a heavy reel on the same rod. Overcoming the added mass of reel during...
Mods, please DELETE. (decided to keep rod)
Three times is a charm! Number four and she'll probably start talking to ya!
the old farm pond I used to fish often brought up repeat offenders
Want to trade an Echo Edge 590-4 for similar 890-4. Warranty Card not registered. Comes with original sock and tube. Absolutely nothing wrong with this rod. Slight soiling of cork from 4 outings with...
I think the Sage VXP in the 691 (which indicates 9' 6wt with fighting butt) would be ideal; especially considering the blowout prices on them now! You can also buy the blank and build it the way you...
Sage advice since I hang my waders to air dry overnight and into the next day in the carport. Of course, the critters would have to get over the funk first
Blood knot is pretty strong when tying section of like material and diameter.
I catch "accidental" cats on bugger variants too... looks like you stumbled across some dandies!
I don't think I would ever wish to trade my Action optics, but for their lower line Sunclouds are darn near as good and somewhere around the $50 mark. Had a pair of Suncloud until I got in a tangle...
