no - i'm talking new, custom two tipped made in the US of A, nickle silver, hardwood, agate stipper, the works - you just need to know where to look.
you can also find really nice american made bamboo fly rods for less than $700 if you know where to look.
the diamondback bamboo rods are made in china. diamondback just puts their name on them. that's why they cost so little compared to other bamboo rods.
wooley buggers, clouser minnows, muddler minnows, zonkers, matukas - those are some good minnow patterns. put some split shot on your leader in front of the fly to get it down. strip the fly...
