Thanks I seem to have it now. I added a few more wraps of hackle and made sure they where facing forward. I also reversed the deer hair putting the butts up front. Really seems to make a differance....
yes they are 12's and I was using #14 hook. They didn't float bad and I did't use my floatant I was just testing them and I felt they should have floated longer.

you can't beat the griffin mongoose. 130.00 on ebay. comes with travle case and some other stuff. It also has a lifetime warenty and is made in the usa. Can't beat that.
