I drive an S 10 and I just chunk my 13 foot Birder ( from B and B Yacht designs) in the back with the tail gate down and tie it in. If carrying both yaks, we drive my wifes long bed Silverado.

:D We do drive bys at garage sales all the time. If we drive by and all we see is predominantly racks of clothes, and little "junk" around, we drive on by :D
Continually amazes me at how MANY...

And real men don't worry about things like whether it's "ok" to wear them- they just do it cause it works.

Not just Broadway Joe.
Many of the top catamaran and sailing dinghy racers wear panty hose under wet suits sailing in cold weather, for two reasons- first, you are able to get the wet suit...
I've seen that video- certainly does make you want to question current "wisdom"
Methinks too many people have too much invested in "people are causing it" to ever really try to look elsewhere...
Sportier?? Ever had a fair sized Mullet on a light rod??
Man they are all over the water and above it too- strong fish too. I hooked one once ( NOT foul hooked-he bit it)- on a lead head...
The pro uses a 9 wgt?
Before you change, email them again. Tell them you are sorely disapointed in them and that you have put the info of their spamming out on the web to other fishermen.
Might not do any good at all,...
I don't see why not. I fished often from our pram dinghy when I lived aboard the sailboat. I knew, and still know, many who do that.
In fact, here's a pic of my wife fishing in Espritu Santos Bay...
I watched that story. Just shows there is no limit to the stupidity, or the greed, of some people-
I didn't feel a BIT sorry for him.
Kewl- tell 'em Charlie from CNL Woodworks in Victoria Texas sent you. Won't save you a penny  , but they ARE nice people.
I have a TFO 8 wgt in 4 piece. I'm really pleased with the rod- lot's of bang for the buck.

The best place WE'VE found for supplies is a small company called Frank's Cane and Rush Supplies, out in...
Blackgnat- we had real cane seats in our cedar strip Chestnut Prospector for 15 years now- I guess the boat still has them- my wife gave the boat to her son. Not a problem unless you hit them with...
My grandson kicked a fish several weeks ago- I don't think he'll EVER do that again.
He caught a hardhead, kicked it off the dock, but the side fin went through the toe of his tennis shoe, and...
Hey- that's built down by me. Neat.
And I have an old windsurfer board under the house- one of the original BIG ones. HMMMM- all I need do is add the seat/icechest and get a long paddle.
Let me...
I was out paddling today and met another kayaker/fisherman who had something quite interesting rigged. On each of his rods ( NOT flyrods) between the reel seat and the first guide he had wrapped some...
Thank you sir. I'd be most happy to offer any advice I can on building. As a paddler I'm just beginning. I've been wanting that kayak for several years but this is the first time I've had time, money...
Check out the thread - "New guy has paddling question"-
I posted some pics there just the other day.
But they are B and B Yacht design Birder 13s. I'm building two of them My wifes weighed 24...
Jim- nice pics. What does that Adirondack weigh? My homebuilt is gonna tip the scales at about 32 pounds for a 13 foot yak which looks quite like the green one labeled as belonging to Wayne White.

Kewl!! Ours are #73 and #74
Got the decks all trimmed, edges rounded and the decks epoxied today. Tomorrow I'll sand that and put the final coat of Epoxy on the decks. Carlins, coamings,...
Some years ago while we were building our house and living in a small travel trailer, I'd read a McManus story to my wife after we went to bed. She used to shake the trailer from her laughing hard...
lol- you betcha it's possible. There are hundreds of wade fishermen around here, most using conventional gear, but some using fly rods. The area between Aransas Pass and Port A offers many many spots...
 Took me a few seconds to realize that tiny dot up in the upper left corner was a picture. Sorry - my screen resolution just isn't up to it.
That's extremely interesting. And all things considered, really not that expensive, considering everything involved.
