I also use cheap reading glasses in the highest power possible, like 2.75+ I just make sure not to look around the room or at the TV with them on or I get dizzy :)

I think it would come down to the type of light it gives off. It would probably work fine for reading a book etc. But I think the light source, and not being able to direct the light would be major...
