Try a 3 inch Dolls darning needle. Heat bend the needle at the middle of the thread eye 90 deg. File the point of the needle. You can find different sizes. Works great.

Just coat it with any clear acrylic water based paint. You can get it at any craft store. The paint comes in small bottles. Cheers!

Great stuff. Was able to make a small sheet out of this. I use a Dixie paper plate, the type that is coated with a film of plastic. I wiped a little vaseline on the plate, very little, to act as a...
If anyone is interested. I came across this on the web.

I tried the pins with a very small ball. They work great. I like the stem sticking out the back. Makes it a lot easier to mount eyes on most materials.

I picked up some very small black beads from a craft store, to use as a pupal in the center of the sequins. I like the way they turned out. The beads are a lot more uniform and make the eyes all look...

Devcon two ton is your best bet for a clear finish that will last. One side of that epoxy is a little yellow but will clear when you mix the two. Devcon 5 min will definitely yellow in time when...
I used the Tulip Clear Gellies on this Hiromi Crab. I use a permanent marker and blend it out with acetone.

I buy my sequins at Joann's Fabrics. They have a variety pack for .79, 800 in a pack. There are many holographic sequins in each pack.

Buddy, great idea using a pin with the small ball inserted in the sequin. I will give that a try! I also use two ton epoxy. Thank you for the great idea.

Jim, thank you for the kind words! I have been watching, and learning from Flyanglers Online for a number of years now. The people that run this web site has and still seem to amaze me, each and...

Ok, Who ever is interested. I start out, using a flat surface that has a softness to it such as closed cell foam that is about 1/4 in thick. I use a rectangular piece about six inches x 3 inches. I...
DDR, I think that Hot glue would be very hard to control, trying to put it on a 5mm sequin. I do not believe clear hot glue is as clear as epoxy. I could be wrong on this. Try it out and let us know...
Bill, I am now trying 30 min. epoxy to fill the cavity of the sequins.
Do not use 5 min. epoxy, it will yellow in time. Using epoxy, give the eye's a better dome effect. I believe this is the way...
Bill, trying out different ways to make the eye's out of sequins. I am using holographic sequins and filling them with acrylic paint or tulip clear paint. Aether one takes a while to dry, but comes...
Hi Bill, No I do not believe it is the same thing. This guy is using acrylic paint. Tulip Fabric Paint, is silicone based. I do like the eye's that this guy makes with the sequins and beads though. I...
I had the same problem when I started making Tulip sheets. I had to adjust the amount of water I used also. I also realized that when the sheet dried, the sheet shrank down to half or more in...
As well as any other synthetic material I have used, and maybe better. Depending on the thickness of the sheet you make. I have caught Spanish macs on a fly made with Tulip and it held up very well. ...
