If you're fishing Great Lakes tribs, the fishing is relatively easy. The creeks are usually not large raging rivers and, due to stocking, some get enourmous runs of fish. Fishing a nymphing rig with...
Guides will sometimes produce a clicking sound when the rod is flexed as in casting or wiggling. However, it is usually a result of poor ferrule fit or loose components.
It doesn't neccesarily...
Avalon,
I agree.
Also, the state needs to relize that in the long run, more money will be made by appeasing traveling anglers via creating quality fisheries rather than filling the freezers of...
"Another issue that an earlier opening day in southeastern Pennsylvania addresses is the potential for movement of stocked trout prior to opening day, as well as the fact that some fish die between...
The 2pc 8'6" 5wt is a great rod. I think you'll be really happy with it.

Epoxy adhesive.
Use Mucilin. Apply liberally. Work it into the leader. Wipe off excess. Once you get it worked into the leader, you will not need to use as much on subsequent applications.
A light coat of epoxy will be easiest to wrap over IMO. The color preserver might be enough to smooth things off too.

Also, one thing to keep in mind is peak temperature. Many creeks will cool down to the low 60's over night, but peak in...
Only one way to find out, eh?
Cool.
Everyone is indeed entitled to their opinion. You, yourself, have asked for it and I have given it. Nothing more, nothing less.
I support my local TU whenever I can with stocking projects, small...
kbobb,
First, your example of hooking your finger proves nothing other than the fact that hooks hurt when you jam them into your skin. It does not prove that barbed hooks cause a significant loss...
BR,
I think it's a good political move to let the PAFBC drop the barbless, and wading rules. It shows that TU is willing to compromise.

BR,
As of the Febuary letter, TU's main concern was the potential of C&R waters to be reclassified into Trophy Trout waters which currently allow creeling of fish over 16".
TU supports putting...
Here's the URL to PATU's response to the proposed changes. However, this response from TU is outdated (Feb.) and some of the proposals have been changed since this letter written.

My Opinions:
Change to C&R FFO:
No effect. Virtually all of the law abiding anglers who use DH and Heritage special regs waters release everything anyway regardless of the likely hood that the...
Anodized finish.
And if the price isn't too steep, I'd definately consider one for my next reel.
