Thanks guys. These flies at a distance look and sound very similar to a honey bee. The feed on pollen and frequent the same plants as bees but have no stinger. It made a fun tie .

Thanks Byron. I'm still working that out. This fly is the prototype and it took about an hour to tie. I had to stop and back up a couple of times to keep the proportions correct.
