But John, you could take your fishin' stuff with you on your hikes. That's what hikes are for, to get to fishin' spots.

Finally those poor fishies get a rest - they're probably giving high fives all around.
I have tried several of the extended bodies, John, and can't get the tails to incorporate into the antron as it furls, so I'm glad to see that the floss seems to roll right up into the EB and still...
No, everything's fine except the last post.
Is it just me, or is there something wrong about your pictures? I get a little box, but it's not the one with the red x.
It is a great picture, John, and we have sure appreciated all of them - hope the winter is long and wet for all the west.
John, with all the success you have had with your renegades this fall, you might want to try a "fore and aft" this winter - it has been very productive over here on the San Juan with the midge eaters...
Thanks for the show - Mother Nature is amazing, isn't she? But nice for her to get a hand now and then.
So, I guess the SH spawn in the spring like the rainbow? And then head back to the ocean? And then do it again the next year? The Kokanee around here spawn in the fall so maybe the Salmon are all...
Do the Chinook and Steelhead both get up that way about this time of year? Or do they come all summer?
What beautiful places you have to choose from. Thanks for giving us the pics.
There aren't many rivers that are that pretty, that will also give up so many great fish - you lucky ducky.
I think the Steelhead thing is real strange up in the headwater streams - over in that area where we watched them tag the Salmon, they say any rainbow you catch is considered a steelhead. Don't know...
I guess my question about the skwalas in Colorado was just more curiosity - funny that they seem to be a Northwest species, but maybe I just haven't heard about them here.
So, you tie the Skwalas in more like a #14? We're finally headed for the streams here in Colorado, Salmonflies are the thing right now, with goldens a little later. Actually I only know of one Skwala...
Maybe you gave him one of those pin flies instead of one with a hook? Sure enjoying all those beautiful pics. Is the only difference between the FEB Salmonfly and Skwala the color? Do you think that...
No, this was above Stanley, I think these were headed for the main Salmon that heads down to Challis, but that's an interesting area, some of the streams go into one fork and some into another only...
We spent an interesting hour with the F&G biologists up on a tributary of the Salmon river when they were tagging those babies headed downstream, lots of fun to see where they come from.
