Bob,
Having not seen any video of myself, I'd have to say that a 'smoothie' I am not. I also submit that I am not even remotely a distance caster. Sometimes I find funny ways of casting to get at...
Antelope that I've seen and used is light weight, flares more is more brittle and the thread will cut through if you're not careful. Haven't used it often enough to say if it a fly tied with it works...
I guess I'm in the minority because if the book has decent illustrations or photos, I'd rather have it then a dvd or video. I can have it right at my fingertips to view and reference. Also, I can...
rookie,
I have prepared RIT super-strength by mixing one package of dye and 1 cup of hot water. The solution is stored in screw-capped glass jars. When I want to dye something, I use one...
Yup. You got it.

I happened to learn something the other day and it's applicable to fly fishing, well casting actually. Maybe some of you astute casters, scientists or just plain smart folks know the answer:
'What...
All of the above

Guess if I fished a lot of nymphs and/or streamers I'd try them. Couldn't bring myself to use with dry flies.

Update:
Recieved Mr. Blurs' - "Esmeralda's" today.
Nice job Mike.
So, here's up-to-date status:

Goddess,
If I understand your question correctly, you are looking for dyed woodduck? Personally, I have never seen dyed wood duck(flank) being sold. If I misunderstood the question, sorry.

rodger,
For no specific reason other than I always have, 99.9% of the flies I use are my own. I do not use flies obtained through swaps so I do not count on them to fill my boxes.
This weather...
Actually, this isn't necessarily about a fly fishing shop, catalog service department, web site or even manufacturer. It's simply about 'customer service'.
I just came back from a store. The type...
You've got that right. I'd just:
Replace #3 with 'Brother ...'
Replace #4 with 'Uncle ...'
Replace #7 with another #6 for Grandpa. He deserves 2 hoorays.

Let's see:
Excellent stability as a company.
An excellent reputation.
Good to excellent customer service.
Quality products.
A wider than usual assortment of products.
Knowledgeable people....
If you're using more than 1 hackle, regardless of the color, wind the one with the thicker stem first and then the one with the thinner stem. This will reduce the number of barbs getting mashed down....
Eric,
JC is some caster. I watched that main screen for a few minutes and every
H.motion is identical to the previous one! Shows you that repitition builds consistency  .
Gemrod,
I really doubt it. If it were true, how would someone account for the various shades of bamboo? Also, against a backdrop of sky, especially one that's sunny, pretty much everything looks...
Second set of flies received.
GT2FLY - Lady 'Heather'. Very nice. Thanks.
3 down, 4 to go.

Unfortunately, the Guild's website has been, and continues to be, down.

For those of you who are members of the Catskill Fly Tyer's Guild, take advantage of the availability of the Guild's first video. It is dvd of Mary Dette tying at two presentations. Ms. Dette is a...
Okay, first update.
Set received from 'bassman'.
Nice work on the - Queen 'Jane' and thanks.

The flies that swim bye,
those the trout can observe.
They don't lack what it takes,
they just lack the nerve.
It's off-color, the water.
Not calm and clear as we'd like.
The flies don't...
Ray,
Good to hear that the CREE skin finally found the correct destination.
As far as the gift? Use your common sense and just enjoy and/or get satisfaction from whatever you use it for.

Just trying to see if I'm learning how to use this computer a little better. Here are some photos: flies, scenery, and my dogs that I've taken. Hope this works.

Okay, let me see if these directions help you. I'm assuming(yes, I know that's always a mistake) that you know the recipe and have the correct materials except perhaps one. The typical recipes are...
