The trout will be fine as long as quakes dont cause a major pollutant to enter the river or (worst case senario) the dam comes tumbling down.
I don't know about the 8'6" 3wt, but the 9' 3wt XP is flat out awesome. I cant see six inches making that much of a difference ;). I'd recommend a 4wt line... I think you'll be amazed.
mmm.... gravy. ;)
size 6 crab patterns... tan... nothing fancy at all. Size 6 or 8 crazy charlies & gotchas: crystal flash/white, tan or yellow all worked some as well. Small clousers, white with sparse flash worked...
I have been down there twice. Fishing in the lagoons is good. Alex Euan is a great guide and speaks good english. He charges $300 for a full day and has many many years guiding experience. ...

I'll take two if you still have them.
How many you got left?
It is the tricks part of this that is the most fun. They make some really big zip ties made of very thick plastic that are about 3/4 to an inch wide and about 2 1/2 to 3 feet long. These are...
We didn't do anything really notable up there that afternoon. We had a really good morning that day downriver in between Lobo and Dripping Springs. We pulled the boat out and went to lunch with...
You left out the part about snapping your rod trying to get your fly out of a tree. I wasn't watching, but I heard it. I hate that sound. Sorry, couldn't resist. Did you stick around to fish...
What is the WT and how long is it?
I thought this was a good place to share. This past weekend we had a TU sponsored river cleanup on the Little Red River in Arkansas. The Ozark Angler hosted the event and provided lunch for all who...
I got into a few of these toothy critters lately too. I generally do use hooks when I fish for them because I hate it when something else big jumps on the rope fly and there is nothing you can do...
Guys these things are well worth the money... I've got three tubes on top of my rig and can haul six rigged sticks. They lock onto your rack, the hinged door locks and the whole tube is easily...

This past Saturday was TU River Clean-Up Day on the Little Red River. We had some heavy rains early in the a.m. that made the water very muddy so conditions were not perfect for pulling out trash.

I still can't get him to point at rising fish though!
I built a Sage VT2 9' 4 wt last year to let clients use in the boat and since then I have had to build two more because folks have just bought them off of me after fishing with them all day. I think...
It's all I use. I get a longer life out of these lines than any other line I have tried. They also float higher and longer than anything else I have tried. I have 6 of them ranging in age from 1-3...
I had a lot of good grip and grins this year with clients and fish, but I think this was my favorite that I took this year.
