I don't know if wind is a factor but as it gets more breezy a higher weight rod will make it easier to punch into the wind because the respective line is heavier and less likely to get blown off...

Excellent! Good looking brown. I like that rubber-leg stonefly too. I have not fished too many stonefly nymph patterns but that one looks tasty. Fun looking little stream
What species is this type of kingfish? When I think of kingfish I think of king mackeral, with the razor sharp teeth. This fish is comparable in size though for sure. Looks awesome!
