3weeks from order to dispatch without any communication isnt scandalous?
Sorry but unless its stated somewhere on his site that he is a one man band and orders would take so long, IT IS
ok, cheers Scott
Hae you ever tried using it to make indicators? thats the reason I bought it, hope i did the right thing
lol, congo hair, seems to be the thing from them. if you dont mind me asking, what do you use it for?
Just have to say that I used them for the first time recently and was very dissapointed, made an order paid and found out today, after having to email them, that the order was posted out YESTERDAY....
I often look for inspiration on what to tie, (CaseyP, I have never HEARD of some of your american flies, so the name search doesn't always help me, lol) so I think that a search by material would be...
the little give in the wrist is a good idea, not only for your casting, but keeping the wrist locked is a contributing factor in tendonitis.
thanks betty, will message him and see
can anyone point me in the direction of the guy that was selling these on here, can't find the post, any help appreciated
Just as an addition to this thread, as an idea to Mato saying it's easier with a sliding indicator, I whip yarn to a length of cotton bud (I think they are Q-tips stateside) then use a length of...
my worry would be any damage caused by the nylon dragging across the fishes mouth before the hook takes hold, I'm sure we alll know how tippet material can cut (and deep)
dunno how you do things in the states, but here in the UK i believe that a restriction on engine size for the first year would be a bonus, too many kids with too powerful machines for my liking
in these days of C&R, how do you debarb the velcro?????????
Fishbum, why do you say not to use salt on the deer hide? I did some sections of deer with salt last year and they seem to be fine to use, although this is the first I have tried so I have nothing to...
Hi Hans, I was wondering if you can give me a bit of advise, my darling wife told me last night that she is going to buy me the Law Bench vise for my christmas (which leaves me both bewildered and...
Normand, thank you, thats exactly the type of thing I have been looking for (I knew the FAOL family would come though :)) It certainly looks good quality, but I'll do a little research before I jump...
Jay, the regal is rotary, but not true inline rotary, the only way to be even close with that type of head is if the hook shank was in the middle of the jaws, as oposed to above as in a true inline....
yeah I had a look at that one too Norm, but as I stated above I am not a great fan of the cam system vise.
it may just be my overriding desire to improve/invent things for fly fishing/tying, I have always disliked having to adjust the gape on the jaws on a cam vise (due to never being regimental enough to...
well mick, you can't be applying the gink sparingly enough ;) as I have found that it works just fine.
yeah I know about the regal vises, I was just using that pic as an example in case I didn't describe clearly what I was looking for. If I can' t find a proprietary vise I may have a go at modifying...
does anyone know of a true inline rotary vice using the lever type jaws such as this??? http://www.hero.be/HeroOutdoor/N_frame.html?http://www.hero.be/HeroOutdoor/N_art_509.html
regular gel floatants such as gink will work with cdc feathers if applied very sparingly.
size 12 kamasan B170 medium wire, can use for dries, weight it for lures and heavy nymphs, and I recon at a push it could take small pike or saltwater fish
