The legs are monofilament and are tie to the hook ,very sturdy. The body is mostley deer hair and thread and it is very durable. Fishing trout or bluegills would play a big part on how long it lasts...

The fly is mostly deer hair and thread . The legs are mono tippet . The fly sits in the water film boyant but not high floating.

I saw alot of these hit the water as I mowed around my pond and thought it might be a useful fly.
