I have to agree with those choosing the 389. I just wish I hadn't sold it a few years ago. :(

Those look like some real fish catchers!

Nice ties, Scott.
It just goes to show that "it ain't the cost of the instrument... it's the talent of the musician." ;)
Well done,
Will
May God bless them all!

NEW: "Green the Whole Year "Round" by Lisa Kelly (Celtic Woman Christmas album).
OLD: "The Christmas Song" my Mel Torme.
Happy Thanksgiving!

What the heck. Go for it. But it kinda sounds like disco is stayin' alive... stayin' alive.

I certainly wouldn't call myself a musician, but I've been playing harmonica for a couple of months now. It's fun but the learning is coming slowly (like any worthwhile endeavor). I'm also about to...
Another vote for Wiss clips. I love their pointy, razor-sharp replaceable blades and the way they nestle in your hand while tying.

My favorite accessories are a pair of Nor-bobbins with extra spools loaded up with most-used threads, and my Ekich bobbin with a short SS tube. After a short learning period with the automatics, my...
It's a pet peeve I admit, but it gripes me when sellers on this board and elsewhere expect potential buyers to add a certain percentage to cover the seller's Paypal fees. Doing so is clearly a...
Cortland Dab works for me.

Best wishes for LF's continued improvement and eventual recovery.
She is greatly missed...

>Will - Since you're from Florida (gotta get hot there!), does the Dab stuff from Cortland liquify when it gets hot? Inquiring minds >want to know.......Ed
Hi Ed,
Haven't used floatant on...
I like Cortland in the orange plastic tub. Effective and relatively inexpensive.
Best,
Will
Thanks, everyone, for the awesome parachutes!
And thanks again, bassman, for hosting another great swap. :)
Best,
Will
Jack,
You were almost in until you tried to register "U.S. Grant" for your screen name. ;)

My flies went out in today's (Monday's) mail.
Best,

John,
Your swaps are fantastic and I need practice tying them, so please put me down for a Hare's Ear Parachute.
Thanks,
Will
JC,
Happy Birthday! Just remember, you're not old; you're "chronologically gifted." ;)
All the best to you and LF,
Will
Got a great looking batch of bugs in the mail today. An impressive lot, for sure. Thanks, everyone, for your contributions to my growing arsenal of secret weapons. And thanks again to John for...
"Flip-focals" clipped to brim of hat.
Will
These old eyes surely do appreciate the "look" of the new BB. Much clearer and easier to read.
Thanks,
Will
John,
As previously stated, you are more than welcome to keep any extras.
Thanks again for hosting,
Will
I agree with the above posters about the usefullness of this book. Its companion volume, "Fishing Small Flies"
is also a great read. Ed Engle is considered to be the authority on these subjects.
