So After almost four years, I'm back to the tying bench.
Due to any number of circumstances, including a toddler who liked to get into anything glittery and feathery, I am back to the tying bench....

1x or 2x long streamer hook
Large gold bead for head
Olive marabou tail
peacock ice dubbing for body
Black uni thread
green ultrawire for ribbing
I've had good results with Hook and Hackle.

From Manley's description and from the results, it would seem this would be an ideal SM and panfish fly for sure.

Try hook and hackle or feather craft. i know feather craft has both golden tippets, white tippets and even starling skins.
