My wife and I both have Simms waders. I have been wearing Cabelas with built in gravel gaurds. Wife has Simms freestones and has been using a wrap around gaurds,which let small pebbles in her boots....

I looked at this rod, thought it was a nice looking rod, seen it had a lifetime warranty. What bothered me was "made in china" The Rod sells for app 200.00 and I can put her in a St Croix for that....

I used a vise extension, with my old set up. Now that I have a real fly tying desk it doesn't seem as comfortable. I might try it from the bottom as thosae commerical tyers are doing.

I lie the St Croix, but at 270.00 they aren't cheap. I also use the Bass Pro Classic, which is a good reel at 90.00. I have never had either one fail me.
