I am curious if anyone has a pattern for this fly. I saw it featured in some pictures by Fly Tyer Magazine
Great Looking Simple fly!
I was messing around on Ebay and noticed that there are alot of fly tying materials for sale on there...I never have bought anything off there, but I was curious if anyone else has...
Guess that would make a difference...Just noticed the bluegill eating them instead of my wolly bugger
I'm looking for a dragonfly pattern and also a damsel patter.
I was talking about mainly wrapping fly rods...Sorry for not clearifying
I am a beginning fly tyer and i am in the market for some hackle...i have looked at bass pro shop, cabela's, hook & hackle, j. Stockard, and others, but all i think i have managed to do is confuse...
So I was reading articles on the computer about the basic fly box and this was the list that they had:
DRY FLIES
EH Caddis; brown and olive colors; size 14 and 18
Adams; ...
Over the natural setting looks so life like...Can I get the pattern for this and the bumble bee
I was looking at fly patterns online earlier and I saw some flies that were categorized as still water flies...What are these flies?
Nicely done!!! I so want to build one, but seeing everyone finished results makes me doubt that mine would look that good!
I'm pretty sure its gone!!! :( We have no other place to get tying materials here!
I know this has been asked several times before, but i was unable to find it in the archives...i have some spools of ultra thread that i bought at gander when they got rid of their fly tying stuff...
I see that there are two different sizes of thread for wrapping guides, size A and size D...Which is best?
I'm just a beginner and when I look through material catalogs I'm overwhelmed...I want to get into tying as a hobby, but my wife won't allow me do to the expense...So I am left to just my dreams.
I looked on Angler's Workshop, Hook & Hackle, and JS Stockard for Mustad kink shank popper hooks either #33903 or CK52S and the smallest they had was 8 or 10. Does anyone know where else I should...
Where do you find kink shank hooks and if you can't find them what other kind of hooks can you use...Innterested in making some for panfish
a .460 reel seat would be too big wouldn't it?
I am planning my first build and I am picking components and have a question...If the rod blank has a butt diameter of .365 then would a struble reel seat with a 3.60 diameter work?
Also does...
I know the blanks are kind of a bronze color so what color thread looks good on them?
