    Your story makes no sense. I doubt that a 3# fish would exceed the design limits of any Sage rod. I broke a ZA switch on a 11# fish. However, I would bet I dinged the rod prior to catching the fish....

    I stick to flyfishing only, unless I forget the rod. I fish with gearheads who coax me to the dark side but I am very stubborn....
