Thanks..

Thanks to all who have replied, and to all who have offered tools and materials. Greatly appreciated. In return we'll update stories and pics as we proceed!
Again, thanks, and keep 'em coming....

I knew I'd catch greif from someone on my post ... I just wanted to be devil's advocate on the possibility of bad weather. Christmas can be -20 or +60, bluebird day and calm or driving blizzard....
Hate to rain (or snow) on your parade, and I'm sure there are plenty of fishing opportunities east of the mountains at that time of year, but bear in mind its' pretty much mid winter and there's a...
Yay! Thanks, but you really scooped me there. I'm used to it, everybody gets bigger fish than me....

Here's a pic of a rather large fish for freshwater. Don't think it was caught on a fly rod, but..
Actually I just wanted to practice posting a picture...
What should I use for my butt section to tie to my type 3 sinking line for stillwater?
Dumb question?
Thanks'
Dave

Count me as one who fears wild shrooms. My Mother (a science teacher!) almost died eating a tiny one she found in the urban park near her house.
But, (a little OT) I have fairy rings plagueing my...
I absolutely don't tie, but would like to try this simple pattern. However, I haven't seen it for sale. Anybody want to tie up a dozen or so to sell?
Thanks,
Dave
Another duh!
Duh- it must be .019, etc.

What do you use on your 'Toon for stillwater: Oars, Fins or Both? And maybe Why?
My first time this weekend, and I just had regular hiking boots, and they got wet anyway, so I figured I might as...
Great info.. got me to thinking it would be fun to do a Consumer Reports-style product test. You could have the same person tie up a couple dozen Bivisibles, same size and materials, and then douse...
Good to know I'm not the only contrarian!
