Unfortunately, I think this may be him: https://memorials.muellermemorial.com/steven-mcgarthwaite/4190912/service-details.php
The North Fork of the Middle Fork is wadeable.
The North Fork of the Middle Fork Willamette River out of Westfir is a nice little stream and fly fishing only. The Middle Fork around Westfir and also above Hills Creek reservoir is worth exploring.
I have had good luck with this CDC Ant.

If you look at the first...
Nice looking tie. It's interesting that this one and the Rusty Rat you posted earlier are so different from the patterns of the same names that I am used to seeing here.
There is no way a fish finder needs a group 27 battery. I run my, admittedly, smaller less powerful finder off of a small sealed lead-acid battery like this:

I don't know. I think you could copy them from photobucket. But it has become so difficult to use and overbearing with ads that I think I am just going to upload the photos I want from my computer to...
I started using imgur awhile back, when photobucket became a pain to use. So far imgur has been great. Now with photobucket's new policy, I'll be switching everything over.
I haven't been there this year, but I've seen some encouraging reports lately. This spring saw very high water levels. You'd like to see it at 300cfs or less for the best fishing. In March it was...
I don't know if it's possible, but If it were me, i'd try to get Hilary Hutcheson from Glacier Anglers.
There are many good fishing opportunities within an hour or so from Bend.
The Metolius is beautiful and challenging. It can be a little crowded on weekends. Don't expect to catch a lot of fish...
It's normal for a spigot ferrule. That's the kind that has a rod that is glued into one of the sections that the mating section slips over, as opposed to a tip-over-butt type.
Based on my personal preference, experience and habit, here is what I use.
Backing to line: nail knot
Line (without loop) to 1 foot butt section: nail knot
Butt section to leader: blood knot...
Yes I made assumptions, but I think I am pretty capable of assessing the situation and I will continue to use my discretion in these situations. The kid could not have been in a more conspicuous spot...
I've used several different tools, but I usually reach for my Cal Bird dubbing tool. I think they were originally made by Frank Matarelli, but Dr. Slick makes a fairly close copy.

Partly it depends on the situation. For example I recently observed a young man carrying a rigged up spinning rod on a fly fishing only section that was closed season at that time. There were other...
Yes, sad news. I learned a lot from his original Sea-run Cutthroat book. I think it was simply titled Sea-Run. RIP.
Really good value, considering what fly shops charge for this stuff.
Saw this on another site. http://mtstandard.com/news/local/structure-fire-in-twin-bridges-bamboo-fly-rod-maker-s/article_f2fc748a-f66a-58a7-810b-92e5e56256e2.html
I think it is better than Kevlar, but I still only use it for strength.
As others have said it's very slick and your scissors had better be sharp. It's great for spinning deer hair or tying globugs, where you need a lot of strength otherwise I prefer regular thread.
PM sent.

I use Intermediate, type 3 and type 6 lines in stillwater, depending on the depth and speed I want. I use sink tips in streams for fishing streamers and to swing flies for Steelhead.
