Re: Out of the Way Streams

Can't agree with you more. I really haven't run into a press of anglers yet this season and I've been out plenty of times. The most people I've run into on any one stream in any one day is about 4....

Re: Look at the size of this Striped Bass !!!!

The catfish in there is a monster. Every time I go there, I have to stop and just look at the thing.

    Re: Charlie Tuna, Shark Bait??

Having a completely irrational fear of sharks, I'd have messed my shorts and most likely passed out completely.

    Re: Polarized Sunglasses

Yep.. was trying to explain that to a friend over the weekend. The glasses don't make the fish automatically visible.. you've still gotta work for them.

I picked up a $20 pair at a sporting goods...
  5. Re: Besides the fishing, what aspects of fly fishing do u enjoy?

I like the work you have to put into it... provides satisfaction on a good day out. Whether it be tying your own flies, building your own rods, furling your own leaders, learning more about fishing...

    Re: Polarized Sunglasses

Thanks for the info, folks. I guess at this point I'm just going to grab a relatively cheap pair.. over $50 right now I simply can't justify(gotta pay for my wheels!), unfortunately, but the points...

Re: Ethanol (E85) in my truck, at $2 a gallon!

This is the part of the whole shmegega that worries me the most. Seems to me that our government wants intrusion to lead the way rather than the market, depending on whose mouth happens to be making...

Re: Ethanol (E85) in my truck, at $2 a gallon!

Or horses, I suppose. But it's a reversal of progress and many, many people aren't willing to go backwards. I agree with Kerry's post above, perhaps it's the engines that need to be re-worked as...

    Re: Polarized Sunglasses

Nice! Wonder if I can find them locally? That would be ideal.. I wear a baseball cap and generally just throw my shades up on top of the brim when I don't want them. I've lost 3 pair that way because...

    Re: Polarized Sunglasses

That's really what I have in mind. Even $50 seems way too much for something that, as you say, I know I'm going to break or lose at some point. My history with sunglasses of any type isn't a shining...

    Polarized Sunglasses

Looking to get a pair, but don't want to pay an arm and a leg. Actually, I'd like to keep it under $50 if at all possible. Is that realistic in terms of quality? I don't know much about these past...

Re: Very slooooooooooooooooooow opening in SE PA.

I was out Sunday at a couple of different places and was skunked. Most other anglers I spoke with on Sunday were skunked. A couple of buddies caught 3 trout between them on Saturday on the Yellow...

Anyone have a link to a pattern handy? I've been hunting one down but can't find anything that gives me a pattern beyond the nymph. Any help? Thanks in advance!!!
