I was told spline does not matter.......................... just sight each piece and put the curve up. It is very easy to do.
Spent three hours talking about this matter at a rod...

love them............ I have a five weight ultra that is a really nice stick. plenty fast with some backbone.
And I just built a 8' four weight Avid. very smooth. all the rods are made in the USA...

It went way better than I thought it was going to. Cleaned the old wraps with shellac thinner and then coated. looks pretty good if i do say myself. thanks again for the replies.. :D

The trion is the same reel as the Orvis mid arbor. I have both reels and can swap spools between the two. can't beat the trion for the price......... just my two cents
