i plan to start tyin' in more wings- not so much because i think they will work better- but more that i have not done it in the past and just want to tie some up w/ wings...

hey- you forgot to mention the phthalates within the plastic you are 're-using'- real nasty chemical containers we drink out of in an effort to be healthy- but hey- the phthalates are all around us -...

hey wild one-
my son is five- he is fishing a st. croix avid 6' 3wt. w/ a orvis 3/4 battenkill. fits him great-
i bought him this rod when he was three. i figured that is when i began fishing...
i got this tool as a stockin' stuffer for christmas.
really- it is great for certain applications and flies- it is slick and well made- i live right down the road from Mitch's shop- so i have been...
i do fish in the winter-
like flybinder said- the weather has made things a bit tough as of late... so i'm spending a goodly amount of time at the tyin' vise.
i am hoping to make a quick trip...

funny thing-when i was tyin' up some PTs today i was thinking how unfortunate it would be not to have peacock for a material- if it did not exist...

hey- i think you are on the right track- although, i don't just think of the fly wet or dry- but rather in the water and how it acts in the water- for example- you mentioned the legs of a nymph...
