Our mail is a little slow. You should get them any time now.
Have you received any flies, yet? I mailed mine a week ago.
Your wedding reception was held in a Fly Shop.
You've ever worn a fishing shirt to a funeral.
They only time anyone ever saw you cry is when you broke the tip on your bamboo fly rod.
You...
This is just an observation, but I think this may be the longest running thread ever on FAOL. It should get some kind of prize, or honorable mention......:D
I never knew that Orvis actually 'made' anything. I thought they just bought stuff and put their name on it. Almost all of my fly rods and reels are SA. I hope it's not going to be like Schwinn...
I used to use bacon grease and a piece of pork rind for an emergency patch, but for some reason, turtles kept following me around..........:D
They make special rods for that???????:o
The speed of the rod tip is directly related to the number of trees behind you, and their proximity, and inversely related to to how delicate a presentation you need to make.
Where A is the cast,...
How's Your Runoff........?
Maybe not as good as it used to be, but they gave me these new pills at the VA Clinic.........:D
JC is sorely missed. I only knew him through the website, but he was still an important part of my life for many years.
Great post.
You mean, we're caught up? How'd that happen?
We'll have to watch that in the future. Some of us might go into shock if we're not a month or two behind (LOL). :D
I think I am going to go with the Bemis.
Got some great flies today. Well worth the wait.
1. You see a stray dog or cat and think to yourself, "Wow, that would make a great streamer..." "Here, kitty, kitty......"
2. Your dogs and cats have small bald patches on them where you have...
I would never put crappie in a pond that small. Stick with bass, pumpkinseeds, bluegills, and make sure you put plenty of channel catfish in there. It wouldn't hurt to throw in a good number of...
Olive or brown Woolley Buggers all the way. Also, black or purple bunny leeches work great. Clousers in brown and orange, or olive and white.
I'll be tackling (and fishing) the upper Coosawattee, and Cartecay Rivers around the middle of the month. They have some good Class III water, and great smallmouth bass fishing. Just to show you...
What is up with this gibberish? It's on several threads.
Huh?
Puede, repetirlo en Ingles, por favor?.......
W jakim języku jest to, że?
We had a blast. The Coosawatee was great. There was a strainer (two fallen trees completely across the river) that was offset with a stump sticking up from the middle. I had to attack from the fast...
40-something pounds sounds about right for a roto-molded yak. Your rack should work.
If you are new to kayaking, I would take the yak out for a spin before loading anything into it, just to get...
Aaaauuuugh! I knew something like that was going to happen. I am so sorry.....
No prob. with me. I went through the same thing when I hosted. Have a great time.
Here's what I have been doing:

I don't see why and eel skin would be any different from a Zonker strip. Also, Swiss Straw is organic. Under those criteria, any fly with Swiss Straw would be illegal. And what about dubbing? Fur?...
Streamers, Bass Flies, Woolly Buggers, etc....
