Hello all, I have had the floresent yellow from my backing bleed and stain my flyline. I was wondering what would be the best fix for this or should I just live with it. Jack
I agree that "Let's cut him a little slack here folks." is appropriate in some instances but also a returned e-mail or phone call is sometimes also called for. Jack
You might already be doing this but after you mix the finish, pour it out on a piece of aluminum foil. This will reduce the setting time of the epoxy. Jack
Hey all, I am building a new 8wt and have been looking at the Abel reel seats and was wondering if anyone has used them and what their impressions are of the seat. Thanks, Jack
Mr Castwell, I don't mean any disrespect but I have to agree with FloridaFlyer and Jed about the double haul and 90'. This seems to be something that you often post when people are asking questions...
I agree with dudley about the funnel efect of the butt guide. I had a 14 and 10 fuji nsg on a 8wt that I built back in 1989 and occasionaly I would have a problem with the butt gude. In my experience...

I have tied a ton of flies with 34007's but am currently using Gamakatsu SC15's for my redfish flies. I use 1/0 in the Gamakatsu's and I used size 1 mostly with the Mustad's. Jack

I should have first said that you should find out if the boat is painted or gelcoated. I'm not familiar with Hyde boats. If it is gelcoated follow my former post. If it is painted I would mix up some...
It sounds like the scratches don't effect the integrety of the hull. Your best bet would be to get a gelcoat repair kit from West Marine or Defender. The kits come with small tubes of pigment and if...
Hello all, I tie salwater flies from size 10 to 3/0 and have been using Danville's 210 which I think is the same as their flat waxed nylon. Anyway, I thought I would ask and see if there might be...
