I know I had indicated that I'd attend the Michigan Fish-In but something got in the way. Was in hospital for a week and came out with defib/pacemaker in place. Doc said I should wait "at least 2-4...

Les - how did you like the Orvis Superfine? I've never had the chance to get one in my hands but have read that it's a very versital 1wt rod. Appreciate any input you would have.

We bake 'em. Just gut and scale the fish [I don't mess with filleting the small ones]. Then use alum foil to make a packet that will hold all the fish, add a pat of butter inside each one, pepper...
I've gone to 6X tippet for most of this year. It has made a difference. 'Course the lakes I fish are very, very clear.

I fish BGs with a 2wt. I don't want to fish more than 8-10' deep with that rod - and I generally fish much shallower. 2-4' is more like. That's topwater territory. I can; however, get down to the...
A tangle?? Me?? Nah! Never!! heh-heh-heh.

Not only does throwing the big ones back help the gene pool but YOU can catch them again. I can't begin to tell you how many of the large BGs out of the lake I usually fish have one [or more] holes...
tks everyone for the responces [even the commerical!! [<G>] Might be better what with the down time I have with breaking in this pacemaker to just build one; especially since they're all gonna be...
did ya loose ur flyrod???
d
IMO the mid to small fish taste better. Keep a few of them. Put ALL he big uns' back and most of the small ones. Carry a digt camera if'n you want a "brag". Keep only enough out of each trip for...
you're right about the length jc. I musta had a brain **** when I looked at it!! ;) I appeciate the responce. I fish two lakes with extensive "builder' channels" that has BG up to 7-8" fish [a...

Has anyone had any experience with these people's graphite flyrods? I've seen a # of posts on their 'boo rods that seem to be on the good side. Their website does not identify the graphite they use...
