If you really want a mid arbor go with the trion or another company's version. As stated above same reel...you are just paying for the Orvis name on it.

Honestly if you want a reel stay away from Orvis...they have closed thier factory in the UK. Look at a company that specializes in reels such as Ross, Bauer, etc.

I will give ya one reason why to use the Partridge hooks...the gap of the hook and the way the hook is half submerged into the water is very important. If you use a different hook it will work but...
The new Partridge model is 15BN...THERE IS NO SIMILAR HOOK OUT THERE...IMO they are worth every penny!
