Well, that went well.
I'll take em if you can take a check. Don't need them untill Oct so you can hold them as long as you like for the check to clear to your satisfaction. Don't want to spend money on a MO and hate...
I also just planted tomatoes and grape tomatoes in two Topsy Turvy planters.
They are growing very nicely and I should have tomatoes In a few more weeks.
The dog isn't gonna run over these.
The first one looks like a rebranded Columbia Frazier. I have one of those. Had it about 7 years actually. Hardly used the last 5-6 years as it's just too hot for most of my fishing. But it is a good...
Try the Coffee Bean Beetle.
Sort through some coffee beans for the right size and a good shape. Wrap some thread on the hook and then super glue the bean onto it. A coat of Hardasnails makes a...
Ya know; I kinda forgot about it since I have it in my steelhead bag.
I'll give it a try on my 2wt and my 3wt. Can't see where it would hurt. After I get a few uses w/ it, I'll post some thoughts.
F-C sells pre-tied sections w/ loops on them. Get them, as it is impossible to get a knot to hold in that stuff. I have a small spool I bought for steelhead and we could not find a knot that didn't...
Jimmy took it down today, but the Diamondback outfit he had listed in the For Sale forum is just what you're looking for. I have the Backwater in a 6wt and it is a great rod. Use it for probably 70%...
Switched from a 9' Diamondback Backwater 6wt to a TFO 10" 7wt Porfessional Series a couple of years ago. The extra reach is very nice and have landed some large Steelies, Cohos and Kings on it. Lost...
It's a Japanese TV ad...........
Thanks to everyone for their help and the great info. Looking to be a great trip. I'll let know how I did when I get back on the 14th (May).
DShock.....Boo Boo is Yogi's little buddy and I hope to...
Come on guys.................even I know there aren't any org/blk guinea pigs! Except maybe in SoHo!
This is great. Now to find a org/blk guinea pig..............
Thanks guys!! Now just gotta find the org/blk for the collar.
Any ideas there??
Anybody know this one?? We were advised this was one of "the hot" flies for the Situk River. Can't find it anywhere.
Cabela's ( believe it or not ) have an assortment they sell and it's listed but...
Can't wait to see the suggestions. I tried it on one steelhead trip and gave up. Tried every knot I know and then some. Can't remember the last thing that aggravated me as much as that gum tippet....
Well, the weather took care of any chance I had to sneak away and fish. Maybe another time..
A very interesting old town w/ quite a history. Had a good time there.
Thanks again everyone
Thanks guys, don't know if we're gonna get up that far this trip.
But now I can plan another trip if I don't fish this trip.
I'll post if I get to fish!

Will be visiting my son at the Naval nuke school there this week.
Anybody familiar with any fly shops in the area I can visit for some info on fishing in the area.
I've already got a NY license...
I solved 90% of my problems anchoring by usng a anchor pulley system. Simply rig a line that goes from bow to stern on both sides w/ a couple of tie in points. Hook your anchor line to one of them...
Very good washing down w/ freshwater and some Salt X. Both rod and reel.
If it's not a "saltwater" reel, then a going over and some oil afterwards also.
S/W flyfishing is FUN!!
It is good for small clousers and such. My most productive S/W pattern is a FeatherCraft Sand Shrimp made w/ it.
I've found some w/ longer fibers at craft stores.
Been fishing in the Outback for 2 years now. Can't be beat.
Do a search here and you'll find a couple of other guys w/ em too.
Also hit...
