Hoping that this rod will allow to fish with 6x and 7x tippets with confidence when conditions dictate and it is something you feel like doing.

Glad to find out that a Scott ''G'' has found an owner that appreciates the beauty that resides there within...enjoy it!
I have the G2 in an eight four inch three weight and it is a slow little dry fly rod that keeps my tempo in check.
Hi John,
Thanks for your imput.I suppose the option of double handing would be the primary difference. If your nine footer can handle those larger western rivers, maybe I am over doing it with a...
I have yet to hear of anyone who nymphs with a switch rod and indicator, thinking of giving it a go.Can be easily talked out of it with sound reasoning.Imput is very much appreciated.
For those of you that have any tips for a steelhead rig from indicator down to the fly your imput would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thank you both for your sound imput, which helps me consider new options that I would not have considered myself.
Sorry, snake guides....not snake river guides
I am thinking of having a ten and a half foot noodle rod made for myself for steelheading.Any suggestions for quality guides would be appreciated,Thanks
The Vashon reel has been a very sound investment for me.Reliability of the drag system for the price has me sold on Okuma reels...very good value.
Once again my fellow FAOL compatriots have given me sound advice, thanks for your imput, one and all.

If I purchase a 4x leader and attach it to my fly line and then see that midges are what I choose to fish with,it allows me to use 7x tippet material with a loop three quarters down my...
I have been tying a loop where my leader starts to taper down, roughly three quarters down the leader and then adding tippet material hence forth, depending on what fly I choose as I change my flies...
greys, just starting out in the US carries a few 10 footers one in a four weight one in a three weight in their ''streamflex'' series I believe.Guideline, sort of new to the US carries a few in the...
Just wondering if anyone has used tippet rings and if so,are they worth trying.
Thanks
Martin has a whippy little seven footer Rolling Fork that is kinda fun,I think I paid 60 bucks for it,slow as it goes though.Don't know what kind of speed your lookin for
I have just purchased a sage rpl eight and a half foot two weight and was wondering if there is a line available that would enhance my roll casting, hoping that it is the arrow and not the Indian.Any...
I have been thinking about fishing the Pine in PA. early this May,if anyone feels like advising me it would help very much,thank-you
Hi Warren,
I use a Scott G2 for my wet fly fishing and am very satisfied with it.Slower action than the XP series I believe, quite pricey though. At any rate,I have the bad habit of thinking that...
The BBS reels that I own were purchased because of their lightweight and reasonable price.Orvis has been with us for with us many decades for good reason,in my opinion.
