The RPL is the one that did it for me. I still have my 390, 590, 690 and 7100 and use them all the time. My bank account has never been the same! lol.

Absolutely! I'd probably go with the LL. Since, you have a couple LL's and know how they cast, there wouldn't be any guessing as to how it performs. Also, the LL's have become a collector's items, so...
Purist! lol. Do you swing flies the size of a half chicken, like yer suppose tew? lol.
Marty, I can never find the 6 footers, in the shop up here. The 7.5's are the shortest they sell.
Very cool tie! I use marabou claws on my crayfish patterns, too but I divide them. When you strip them through the water, the marabou comes together and when you stop them, the marabou flares out and...
Those sound like Watergremlins. They do have a tendency to slide on the line. I've had a lot of luck with Blackbird shot. It comes in a tube, with two different sizes. They lock down nice, especially...
I've used a number of brands, that did that (especially tin shot). Putting the shot, right above the knot helps. I also use flurocarbon, which tends to stick a little more than mono.
Sounds like his was loosing his sight too! lol.
MOST DEFINITELY! lol.
Exactly, Dave!
Yep, I was sleeping! lol.
HI JEFF! lol.
The kings are starting to show up in the lower river. A buddy of mine said a couple of his friends did decent in the DSR, the other day. We...
Upon further review, it appears to be Pentagenia Vittigera(sp?). It's a type of burrowing mayfly. I'm guessing Willow Fly, is the common name?
We always called 'em skunks! lol. I still can't believe the number of people I see, catching them in that condition, and keeping them. I guess they figure they're already tenderized! lol.
That's an excellent time to be up there! The steelies/browns are usually coming in good. Most of the freak show is way up river, chasing the rotting salmon. lol.
Dave, I thought you had him refund the money for it? I saw those reels, too. American made! Don't see that much these days. I'd like to check them out, too.
I forgot about John's 11' 7/8. lol. I know when Dave's 490 broke, he really wasn't doing anything crazy. It just snapped. I looked down stream and his nine footer was about a seven footer. lol. I'm...
Marty, they do that every year, to get people up there. We went up early, last year (because it was allegedly loaded with kings) and surprise! The usual, few kings milling around. lol. How was that...
flickfly, i'm just outside of Buffalo and I totally agree on the king/coho runs. I'll usually fish it mid September and then wait until the freak show leaves. lol. The steelie fishing in November can...
Marty, Dave and John had a couple of them break. Not sure if they fixed the problems or not. I have one of the 5' 6", 3 weights and so far, I haven't had any problems...then again, I don't fish it...
If it's not a Hex, my guess would be, a Golden Drake (Anthopotamus Distinctus). They start hatching in late June and run through August. They emerge, right before dark and are usually around a size...
I live in WNY and fish the Erie and Ontario tribs all the time. I fish the SR at least a few times every season. It's definitely precip. dependent. The big difference is, that even at lower flows...
Glad you guys are ok. Stay safe.
I wish we had that much open water! lol.
I got an 8 out of 10.
I got this one wrong too. lol.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! The baby is just practicing for all those early morning fishing trips! lol.
Bruce, i'll send ya my address so you can send me a sampler platter of cobbler. lol.
